General FAQs
I am qualified as a Level 2 Horticulture Operative (with Distinction), having received formal training at King's College Cambridge and Emmanuel College Cambridge.
I am also PA1/PA6 certified for necessities, although prefer to avoid spraying from a sustainability and ecological perspective.
I made a career switch into professional horticulture in 2024, and have never looked back. See the About page (/about)for professional qualification details.
However, I first started gardening as a child about 30 years ago, working the vegetable plot with my father, weeding flowerbeds, and composting the lawn cuttings from our half acre plot.
As an adult, I have enjoyed transforming my own gardens (including a new-build plot, an overgrown 1930s plot full of perennial weeds, and a large, terraced garden) and plots for friends over the past decade, with my current project being the largest one yet!
